The next W4A 2016 - 13th Web for All Conference, to be held in Montreal, Canada 2016, will be co-chaired by Tiago Guerreiro from LaSIGE and Greg Gay from Ryerson University, Canada. The conference is going to be held in Montreal, Canada, co-located with WWW 2016.
Francisco Couto participated in the establishment of a protocol with the Accenture Company, signed this week, that will strengthen the collaboration between LaSIGE and Accenture.

The Computing Reviews' 19th Annual Best of Computing list selected the publication "The stream-based service-centred calculus: a foundation for service-oriented programming" co-authored by Francisco Martins and Vasco Vasconcelos among others, as a notable article in computing in 2014.
Fernando Ramos were involved in the organization of the 3rd edition of FCUL Rally Pro, a programming competition for high school students that counted with 70 participants from 11 schools.
António Casimiro is co-organizing the 1st Workshop on Safety and Security of Intelligent Vehicles (SSIV 2015), that will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 22, 2015, co-located with the DSN 2015 Conference. The goal of this workshop is to explore the challenges and innovative solutions regarding Intelligent Vehicles, considering the implications of security and real-time issues on safety and certification, which emerge when introducing networked, autonomous and cooperative functionalities.
Luís Carriço and Carlos Duarte participated at the 1st eGovernAbility project meeting, that took place in Spain, from June 15 to 16, 2015. The project is funded by Spanish Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) and both researchers are involved as experts, contributing with techniques and methodologies to develop multidevice software.
António Casimiro is organizing the next workshop of the IFIP 10.4 Working Group on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance, which is about Autonomous and Cooperative Intelligent Vehicles: New safety and security challenges, or yet another critical infrastructure?, and will take place in Brazil on June 26-28.
Eduardo Marques, organized an Advanced Course ministered by Prof. Wojciech Turek, from University of Science and Technology of Krakow, Poland, under the Erasmus Teaching Mobility Program, about programming in Erlang. The course, held at FCUL from June 3-4, counted with several registrations from LaSIGE members and students.
