The first LaSIGE workshop will be held November 7, 2015. The workshop is an opportunity for LaSIGE members to connect, discuss their work and explore potential internal and external collaborations. We will have three keynotes delivered by academia and industry speakers, namely, Pedro Almeida from IBEB, Luís Rodrigues from INESC-ID and Paulo Sousa from Maxdata.

Arquivo.pt - the Portuguese Web Archive is a research infrastructure, developed by FCCN, that enables search and access to files archived from the web since 1996. Its main objective is the preservation of information published on the Web for research purposes.
The project was lead by Daniel Gomes, LaSIGE Collaborator and FCCN Member, where he coordinates the Portuguese Web Archive project and the Web Development unit.

The large-scale integrating project ASHSLEY, co-funded by the European Comission throuhg the FP7 programme, invited António Casimiro to present a talk in their next academic workshop that will take place in Taguspark, Oeiras, Portugal, next November 5th, 2015.
The target audience for this workshop are university students, researchers and members of small and medium enterprises connected to the aviation and aeronautics area.

AccessCamp is a two day workshop, that will take place Saturday (October 24th) and Sunday (October 25th), in which teams of 3-5 people will build and design technologies to solve real-world accessibility problems and have an immediate impact in someone’s life. The main goal is to produce a deliverable, e.g. prototype, report, app, insight, design, etc.
The event, organized by Hugo Nicolau and Tiago Guerreiro, will be hosted by LaSIGE and take place before the ASSETS 2015. Participation is free to all attendees.

The project proposal with the title "Resilient Supervision and Control in Smart Grids", was one of the 30 projects approved for funding in the call for transnational cooperation in research under the agreement FCT (Portugal) / CAPES (Brazil).
The Portuguese team, led by Nuno Neves, will participate in several visit travels to the Brazilian participating institution, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, and will welcome 2 long stay visits of PhD studens that will develop part of their theses at LaSIGE.
