Prof. Antónia Lopes was invited to give a tutorial on software architecture at the 2nd Latin-American School on Software Engineering (ELA-ES 2015), to be held in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, from June, 30th to July, 3rd, 2015.

LaSIGE is local organizing ICBO 2015 - International Conference on Biomedical Ontology, that will take place at FCUL campus from 27th to 30th of July.
About the event:
Several LaSIGE members were involved in the organization of the "Girls in ICT Day” event, that occurred last April 23rd, 2015. The "Girls in ICT Day" - World Day for Young Women in Information and Communication Technologies, is an initiative of the International Telecommunication Union, that visa to raise awareness to young women about career opportunities in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
André leal, LaSIGE researcher and MSc student of Informatics Engineering from DI/FCUL, achieved 2nd position at Task 14 of SemEval-2015, an international competition connected to the automatic processing and clinical text semantic analysis. The work was developed under the orientation of Prof.
LASIGE participated at FCUL’s job fair Jobshop Ciências 2019 on April 11. JobShop Ciências aims to be a preferential forum of access of students and graduates to the job market.
We were represented by members of our different research lines and the team of one of our start ups (Vawlt). LASIGE professor and investigator Ana Paula Afonso acted as our ambassador and made a general presentation of our unit to a captivated audience.
Nuno Neves gave an invited talk explaining recent research results
attained by LASIGE in the area of web application vulnerability
discovery at an event at the Pontifica Universidade Católica, Brazil.
The talk had the title "Software Security - Looking for a Needle in a
Haystack", and was made in the context of the Introduction to Scientific
Research event, which involves more than two thousand students from
undergraduate and post-graduation degrees.
LASIGE integrated researcher Alysson Bessani participated in recent industry collaboration efforts with Huawei in China, and NEC Laboratories in Germany.
