AccessCamp 2015

AccessCamp is a two day workshop, that will take place Saturday (October 24th) and Sunday (October 25th), in which teams of 3-5 people will build and design technologies to solve real-world accessibility problems and have an immediate impact in someone’s life. The main goal is to produce a deliverable, e.g. prototype, report, app, insight, design, etc.
The event, organized by Hugo Nicolau and Tiago Guerreiro, will be hosted by LaSIGE and take place before the ASSETS 2015. Participation is free to all attendees.

RSC Smart Grids: New accepted project under the transnational cooperation agreement FCT/CAPES

The project proposal with the title "Resilient Supervision and Control in Smart Grids", was one of the 30 projects approved for funding in the call for transnational cooperation in research under the agreement FCT (Portugal) / CAPES (Brazil).
The Portuguese team, led by Nuno Neves, will participate in several visit travels to the Brazilian participating institution, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, and will welcome 2 long stay visits of PhD studens that will develop part of their theses at LaSIGE.

Winning team @ Process Model Matching EMISA 2015

A team of LaSIGE and INESC-ID researchers is one of the winners of the Process Model Matching at EMISA 2015 - 6th Int. Workshop on
Enterprise Modelling and Information Systems Architectures
. The team led by Cátia Pesquita developed an extension for LaSIGE's awarded ontology matching system, AML, to extend its use to Enterprise Architecture Models.
EMISA 2015, was co-located with the 13th International Conference on Business Process Management (BPM 2015).

PTDC 2014 | SR&TD 2014 Project Grants results

After the FCT 2014 Call for PTDC | SR&TD Project Grants evaluation, 5 LaSIGE projects proposals were selected for funding, reaching a unit's proposals sucess rate of 33 %. The number of new LaSIGE projects increase also with the unit's participation in another selected project led by other research unit.
Overall the unit's achievement, proposals and participations, was fixed in 25 % sucess rate, in a call with a general sucess of 13 %.
