The project proposal with the title "Resilient Supervision and Control in Smart Grids", was one of the 30 projects approved for funding in the call for transnational cooperation in research under the agreement FCT (Portugal) / CAPES (Brazil).
The Portuguese team, led by Nuno Neves, will participate in several visit travels to the Brazilian participating institution, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, and will welcome 2 long stay visits of PhD studens that will develop part of their theses at LaSIGE.

A team of LaSIGE and INESC-ID researchers is one of the winners of the Process Model Matching at EMISA 2015 - 6th Int. Workshop on
Enterprise Modelling and Information Systems Architectures
. The team led by Cátia Pesquita developed an extension for LaSIGE's awarded ontology matching system, AML, to extend its use to Enterprise Architecture Models.
EMISA 2015, was co-located with the 13th International Conference on Business Process Management (BPM 2015).

After the FCT 2014 Call for PTDC | SR&TD Project Grants evaluation, 5 LaSIGE projects proposals were selected for funding, reaching a unit's proposals sucess rate of 33 %. The number of new LaSIGE projects increase also with the unit's participation in another selected project led by other research unit.
Overall the unit's achievement, proposals and participations, was fixed in 25 % sucess rate, in a call with a general sucess of 13 %.

The organization of the event COSSMO 2015 - International Workshop on Cooperative Sensing for Smart Mobility, invited António Casimiro to be one of the two keynote speakers of the event that will occur in September 15th, at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. António Casimiro presentation with the title “Dependability challenges on the way to autonomous and cooperating vehicles” will address issues related with LaSIGE's research line "Timeliness and Adaptation in Dependable Systems".

The 7º edition of INFórum - Simpósio de Informática, this year organized by Universidade da Beira Interior, will occur from September 7 to 8, 2015, and besides the participation of António Casimiro and Antónia Lopes in the Coordinating Committee, as President and as member respectively, counts also with the participation of LaSIGE researchers in all the thematic sessions of the symposium, that aims to be a key event for meeting of the national community in the various aspects of informatics and aims to become the preferred forum for the dissemination, discussion and recognition of scientific papers.

The LxMLS - 5th Lisbon Machine Learning School, hosted in IST, from July 16 to 23, had an special session, on July 21, dedicated to demos.
The session counted with an demo from LaSIGE, aiming of solving machine learning problems through technology.
LxMLS Demo day is an informal gathering that brings together a number of highly technical companies and research institutions alongside with students from LxMLS and other Portuguese institutions.

The protocol signed between FCUL and Accenture, that brings new opportunities of collaboration between LaSIGE and the company, was last week news at several magazines.
