LaSIGE will most probably increase his participation in the COST Actions programme, through the recently invitation, made to Francisco Couto, to entry to the Cost Action AFACTT list of Participants.
The main objective of AFACTT is to initiate a network that will coordinate European CTT (Cell-based Tolerance-inducing Therapies ) efforts to minimise overlap and maximise comparison of the diverse approaches through establishment of consensus monitoring parameters.

The next GLOSS Seminar will be presented by João Costa Seco, Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of the FCT/Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and Researcher at NOVA-LINCS (NOVA-Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics). The talk, with the title "A Data Manipulation Language for Heterogeneous Environments", will occur at FCUL|DI room 6.3.38, next Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015, at 16h00.

Bioinformatics Open Days is a student-led initiative, that aims to promote the exchange of knowledge between students, teachers and researchers from the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology fields. The symposium’s 5th edition is a joint collaboration with the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Master students of Univ. Minho and Faculdade de Ciencias da Univ. Lisboa (http://bbc.fc.ul.pt/), and will occur at Univ. Minho on the 18th and 19th February, 2016.

The first LaSIGE workshop will be held November 7, 2015. The workshop is an opportunity for LaSIGE members to connect, discuss their work and explore potential internal and external collaborations. We will have three keynotes delivered by academia and industry speakers, namely, Pedro Almeida from IBEB, Luís Rodrigues from INESC-ID and Paulo Sousa from Maxdata.
