The cyber‐physycal systems area has a wide scope and encompasses many research challenges to be addressed in the next decade. Several strategic documents and agendas refer to the application of cyber‐physical systems technologies in key areas, such as the transport, the energy, the well‐being, the industry and the infrastructures area. In LASIGE, several professors have ongoing research work that fits in this line, even if they have other activities that fir better in other lines. The existence of this line on cyberphysical systems allows for an adequate mapping of skills and interests in research lines, also creating opportunities for increased collaboration between these professors.
